If your dog GPS device model is G400FI, G500, G500FI, G1000 or Supra and you have bought it in autumn 2016 or have sent the GPS device to Tracker Service and its software is updated to the latest available one, then it uses internet connection for AGPS Status notifications. If that's the case, then it wont use SMS messages for this purpose. If it's an older model prior autumn 2016 then it uses SMS messages for AGPS Status notifications.

Additional information:

If you suspect that your GPS device sends messages to an unknown phone number, then these cancellations can also be made from Tracker support or by sending the GPS device to Tracker Service for software update and reprogramming
