How do I find out what is my GPS device's firmware version or IMEI (serial number)?

Quick answer:

You can check the version of the GPS device you own from the print that can be found from GPS device chassis or the IMEI sticker affixed to it (contains a long series of numbers starting with 35xxxxx)

Information printed on GPS device chassis

Firmware version

The first entry has the GPS device make and model. In this case, it is the G400FI and then the version number, which in this dog GPS device is v02.16

IMEI (serial number)

The long string of numbers starting with 35xxxxx immediately below the barcode is the IMEI code of your device (serial number)

If your device does not have a sticker or it is worn out, the IMEI code may be written directly on the GPS device chassis
