What are the key features and transition highlights in New WeHunt?

What's the biggest improvement I'll see as a prior Tracker user?
Tracker users get a modern interface, increased reliability for dog devices, new and improved tools for planning, running and following up hunts, Garmin GPS users can be included in teams, a web app becomes available, trail cameras can be integrated directly and there is native support for WeHunt and B-Bark devices.
If I have an on going subscription in Tracker or WeHunt today, will that work in the new app?
Yes, all active WeHunt and Tracker subscriptions continue to work in the new app; if you have WeHunt Standard, Premium, GPS Max or a Tracker app or device subscription, you simply log in with the same account and can keep using your license after the transition – no action required.
I forgot my username or password, how do I recover my account?
If you use Apple or Google sign-in with Tracker, you must reset your details directly via Apple or Google.
Do I need to do anything before hunting season 25/26 starts?
Yes, you will need to download the new WeHunt by then. It will be released in full from February 2026 and onwards depending on the usage location. All your old data can easily be transferred over when you log into it.
How will users be informed about the changes and deadlines?
Information will be shared through the website, in-app messages and social media, so following WeHunt channels is the best way to stay up to date on changes and key dates.
How long will my data be stored when the old apps are sunsetted?
Data from the current WeHunt and Tracker apps is preserved and migrated so that when you log in to WeHunt after February 2026 your historical hunts and other data are still available in the new app.
Will I get any notification prior to sunset?
Yes, you will receive in-app notifications asking you to update your WeHunt app before the old version is turned off so you do not miss the transition.

What happens to my Tracker data, and how can I transfer it to WeHunt — especially when the old app is discontinued?

What happens to my Tracker data when the old app is sunset, if I have downloaded new WeHunt, and if I haven't?
Your Tracker data is preserved, but after sunset you must log in to the new WeHunt app and actively initiate the transfer for it to appear there. If you do not activate the transfer your data will not show in the new app – but it still exists on our servers.
Will all Tracker features be available in the new WeHunt app?
Not all, the least popular Tracker features will not be carried over in order to avoid clutter. Instead the new app focuses on the functions that are widely used and highly valued by the community, as well as introducing new ones from WeHunt.
Will Tracker only be hardware and not have it's own app?
Yes, going forward Tracker devices will be used together with the WeHunt app rather than a separate Tracker app.
Is it possible to purchase license codes somewhere in the future?
No, license codes will no longer be available for purchase in the future.
What is the process for returning unused codes, and how long does it take to receive a refund for returned codes?
For retailers: Please contact your local sales representative for guidance and support regarding questions about codes. For end users: License codes cannot be returned.
Why are you closing the Tracker app and moving everything to WeHunt?
The Tracker app will be phased out. However, Tracker’s technology, hardware, and team remain. We are bringing Tracker and WeHunt together into one shared platform under the WeHunt name. The hardware stays the same. The people behind it stay the same. Our focus on precision and reliability stays the same. Running two separate systems in parallel would, over time, lead to slower development, more complexity, and greater risk before each season. By uniting everything into one platform, we can focus on stability, faster improvements, and a safer start to every hunt.
When will the Tracker app stop working?
The Tracker app will remain available during the transition period. The plan is to close it down before summer, and we will communicate a clear date well in advance so you have time to move over calmly and without stress.
We recommend getting started with WeHunt in good time so you can get familiar with the app before the hunting season begins. Our goal is to ensure that everything works as expected in WeHunt before Tracker is fully closed.

Will Tracker devices (hardware) continue to work after the app closes?
Yes. Tracker devices will continue to work. The hardware remains the same, and the technology behind it remains the same. What changes is the software platform used to access your data. Your device connects to WeHunt instead of the Tracker app.
Will WeHunt fully replace Tracker before Tracker is shut down?
Yes. Before Tracker is phased out, the essential functionality hunters rely on will be available and working in WeHunt. WeHunt is not a copy of Tracker. It is the next step – bringing tracking together with planning, communication, and reporting in one connected platform. Some features may look different or work in new ways, but the core experience you depend on in the field will be there. Our priority is simple: you should be able to continue your hunt with confidence.

What is a “Hunt” in WeHunt?
A Hunt in WeHunt is a shared hunting session. When a hunt is started, participating hunters and dogs appear on the map for those who choose to share their positions. During the hunt, you can chat with your team, report harvested or observed game, and coordinate in real time. When the hunt ends, location sharing stops and a hunt report is generated automatically.
How is a Hunt different from Tracker Groups?
In Tracker, a Group works like a permanent room where members can always see each other and their dogs as soon as they are logged in. The focus is on continuous live tracking.
In WeHunt, a Hunt is created for a specific hunting occasion with a start and end time. It gathers the participants in a temporary session where you can track dogs and hunters, manage stand placements, and record harvest and wildlife reports for that particular hunt. This makes it easier to organize and document each hunting day separately.
