Pro-mode affects the functions of the map view. These are the map buttons used by default:
- You can also open the main menu by placing your finger on the left side of the phone and swiping your finger to the center of the map
- Here you will find all the options you can use to edit Map markers, or making new ones
- Requires that you have enabled location permissions for the Tracker application on your device
- When the satellite icon is green, your location is updated on the map and your location can also be shared via the groups you have subscribed to, and can also be shared with Tracker Safety
- When a satellite icon is red with a line over it, your location is not updated on the map and not shared via the groups you have subscribed to and it is new shared with Tracker Safety
- Tap to quickly switch between the selected base map and a satellite map from the same location
- You can select the base map you are using from the main menu -> Maps -> Base Map
- By default, the top of the map view always points north, but by tapping this map button You can toggle "Automatic map rotation" ON/OFF
- When the automatic map rotation is enabled, the map will turn in the same direction you are heading
- If your phone does not have an electronic compass, or it is broken, or the application has no access to the device's electronic compass, the automatic map rotation can not be enabled
- You can also open the targets menu by placing your finger on the right side of the phone and swiping your finger to the center of the map
- The "My Position" item, i.e., information related to your own location, is always displayed at the top of the targets menu
- The targets menu also shows the devices that you own or have been shared with an Administrator rights or Viewer rights (more info on this can be found here)
- Tap the icon in front of the target's name to quickly select the target to be shown on the map and the map will be centered on the target's location
- At the same time, the menu at the bottom of the map view is updated with the name of the target selected, the positioning frequency, the speed and the distance traveled in kilometers
- Tap & hold the menu at the bottom with Your finger, to see more information about the target you're tracking and tap the "Settings" button (cogwheel icon) to open the target's own "Settings" menu
- This map button enables you to quickly switch between your location and target selected to be shown on the map
How to toggle ON/OFF an orange cone (scent trail) in your map view at your own location, that points downwind and shows the current wind direction
- Open the "My position" info menu at the bottom of the map view
- Tap the Settings button (gear icon at the bottom of the menu)
- Then tap the "Show scent trail" menu item to toggle it ON/OFF
"This position" menu (POI icon) located at the bottom of the map view has the following options:
"Add a point of interest at cursor" is always available, whether Pro mode is enabled or not
If necessary, you can switch the measuring line attached to the center of the map (cursor) ON and OFF

When saving a point of interest (POI), you can edit the following information:
- Name
- Icon color
- Select the desired icon
- Select the location where you want to save it ("My markers" or a group)
- You can save a description for it to be used in the application menus
- You can select an existing folder as its location or create a new folder for this purpose
- Coordinates: Coordinates of the center of the map are offered by default. You can also tap this and enter new coordinates
- Finally, tap the Save button
Once a POI/waypoint is saved, and you open its own settings menu, new options are available:
1. You can tap: Group and copy the point of interest (POI) to a group
2. You can share it as a link that another Tracker App user can open with their own app
3. You can download it as a .GPX file and send it, for example, with a message or e-mail to another user
- Anyone who gets that .GPX file can tap it and choose the application or service of their choice that can handle .GPX files and display them on the map
- If the .GPX file is opened with the Tracker App, then it will be displayed on the map and will also be saved in the "My markers" menu of that user.
When you save the line/path you marked, it will be saved in your "My Markers" menu as a line markup:
- Enter a name for the line markup to be saved
- Select the color to use
- Select whether the saved line markup is displayed as a solid line or a dashed line
- You can save a description for it to be used in the application menus
- You can select an existing folder as its location, or create a new folder for this purpose, or share it into a group
- Finally, tap the Save button
You can also take advantage of the track drawn of your own position on the map:
- The "My position" tab is always the first menu in the bottom of the map view, so open it and tap: Settings
- Tap "Save track as line"
- Select the date / time from which the track will be saved as a line markup
- When you open the "My Markers" menu, you can tap this line markup entry that you have saved and edit it in the same way as for the line/path entry saved with the "Measure / Mark Path" function in the instructions above
Once a Line markup is saved, and you open its own settings menu, new options are available:
1. You can tap: Group and copy the Line markup to a group
2. You can share it as a link that another Tracker App user can open with their own app
3. You can download it as a .GPX file and send it, for example, with a message or e-mail to another user
- Anyone who gets that .GPX file can tap it and choose the application or service of their choice that can handle .GPX files and display them on the map
- If the .GPX file is opened with the Tracker App, then it will be displayed on the map and will also be saved in the "My markers" menu of that user.
- Tap the plus button to save an anchor point
- Or tap the minus button to delete an anchor point
- Finally, tap the save button
When you save an area that you have marked, it will be saved as an area markup in your "My markers" menu, for which you can specify the following information:
- Enter a name for the area markup to be saved
- Select the color to use
- Select whether to display only borders or borders + a uniform coloring within the borders of the marked area
- You can select it to be saved in "My markers" or save it directly to a group
- You can save a description for it to be used in the application menus
- You can select an existing folder as its location or create a new folder for this purpose
- Finally, tap the Save button
Once an Area markup is saved, and you open its own settings menu, new options are available:
1. You can tap: Group and copy the Area markup to a group
2. You can share it as a link that another Tracker App user can open with their own app
3. You can download it as a .GPX file and send it, for example, with a message or e-mail to another user
- Anyone who gets that .GPX file can tap it and choose the application or service of their choice that can handle .GPX files and display them on the map
- If the .GPX file is opened with the Tracker App, then it will be displayed on the map and will also be saved in the "My markers" menu of that user.
- Then tap "Set navigation target"
- The map will then show an orange arrow pointing from your own location to the navigation target you have saved on the map
- The same orange arrow is also displayed if you open Main Menu -> Compass
- When you no longer need a navigation target, tap the "Cancel navigation" button in the "This position" (POI/waypoint icon) menu
- The distance traveled (tail distance in kilometers)
- The direction of travel (angle measurement degree)
- Your phone's battery charge level percentage
For more information on the location of the coordinates of "My position", you can tap the "This position" button (POI/Waypoint icon at the bottom of the map view) and then tap the "Information about cursor's position", to display the following information:
- Coordinates
- Sunrise
- Sunset
- Temperature
- Wind speed and direction
- Humidity
- Air pressure
- Altitude
- Share your location as a map link
(The recipient of the link can open it in any web browser)
To manage the map material used by the application: Open the Main menu -> Maps
- Use the slider at the top of the menu to enlarge the details displayed on the map
- Tap the second slider in the menu to prevent or allow downloading of map tiles (requires Pro mode)
- The eight most recently used maps and map material are listed in this Maps menu
- To the left of each map entry is an icon that you can tap for a quick way to view that map in the map view, and to the right is a slider that you can tap to add or remove the map data from being displayed in the map view
Other settings and functions in the Maps menu can be found in this list:
- Fancy terrain map
- Basic terrain map
- Hybrid map
- Aerial or satellite photography
By default, there is a button at the top of the app's map view that allows you to quickly switch between the aerial photography map and the selected base map style
Finnish estates:
- If You are in a country other than Finland, this menu item's name changes accordingly
- Select whether only borders or borders + numbers are displayed
Finnish state-owned hunting grounds:
- If You are in a country other than Finland, this menu item's name changes accordingly
- All areas (tap to choose: with info texts or only borders)
- Elk hunting (tap to choose: with info texts or only borders)
- Small game hunting (tap to choose: with info texts or only borders)
You can turn map layers ON or OFF:
- Depth information (by Traficom, if you are in Finland)
- Finnish public excursion areas
- Nautical charts (by Finnish Transport Agency, if you are in Finland)
- Natura2000 protected areas
Reviiri:
- Reviiri is a Finnish service for hunting area lease agreement management for hunting clubs
- Note! This item will not appear in the "All map resources" menu if the Reviiri service is not connected to the application
- You can select either normal coloring or reverse coloring for the different map levels imported from Reviiri.org
- From the icon in the upper right corner of the menu, you can center the map view directly on the map area of the Reviiri -hunting club
Oma Riista:
- Oma Riista is The Finnish Wildlife Agency and is an independent institution governed by public law. The Finnish Hunters’ Central Organization and game management districts were merged into the Finnish Wildlife Agency
- Note! This item will not appear in the "All map resources" menu if the Oma Riista area has not been retrieved to the application
- You can choose to use either normal coloring, line only, or reverse coloring for Oma Riista map areas
- When you open the Oma Riista map menu, you can use the icon in the upper right corner to center the map view directly on the Oma Riista map area
- Your own map markers: My markers -tab
- Map entries for groups you have subscribed to (not shown if no groups are subscribed)
- Map entries for Reviiri maps (not shown if Reviiri service is not subscribed)
At the end of the each Map marker entry is a slider that you can tap to allow or prevent the map marker from appearing on the map
If you press and hold the map marker, you can select several at a time and then tap the desired function for them at the top of the menu. Note! "My markers" -> If you move your saved map marker to the trash, it will also be removed from the server, i.e. it cannot be restored
- Trash icon (delete)
- Folder icon (move to folder)
- "Three dots" icon (copy or move)
If you tap the name of a folder or individual Map marker you saved:
- You can edit its name and description (folders do not have a description field)
- Select the color to use
- Select how the map marker is displayed on the map
- To copy a folder and all it's content or an individual map entry to a group of your choice, tap Group
- You can select an existing folder as its location or create a new folder for this purpose
- You can share it as a link that another Tracker App user can open with their own app
You can download it as a .GPX file and send it, for example, with a message or e-mail to another user

By entering your own hunting clubs credentials you can see the maps provided by Reviiri
Tap the trash can icon in the "Connected as" menu item to disconnect from the Reviiri
Menu item: "Tap to view the club's maps" gives you a chance to select the way the Reviiri maps are displayed in the map view:
- You can select either normal coloring or reverse coloring
- When you tab and open the Reviiri Map menu, you can use the icon in the upper right corner to focus the map view directly on the Reviiri map area
By entering your Oma Riista Area ID, you can see the maps provided by Oma Riista
Tap the trash can icon at the end of the Oma Riista map to remove them from the application
By tapping the name of the Oma Riista map, you can change the way Oma Riista maps are displayed in the map view:
- You can select either normal coloring, line only, or reverse coloring
- When you open the Oma Riista map menu, you can use the icon in the upper right corner to center the map view directly on the Oma Riista map area
If the Oma Riista area code gives an error, please contact Oma Riista customer service
The Map button in the upper right corner allows you to select the map levels and map material you want to download
You can use the preloaded map even if the app doesn't have an internet connection to download maps normally
