Notice regarding a detected sporadic Artemis battery issue

We have identified some variations in battery characteristics within a few batches of batteries supplied by the battery manufacturer, potentially affecting some of our produced or serviced Tracker Artemis GPS dog devices. These variations could in some rare situations cause the Artemis GPS device to stop functioning during use. 


If you have faced any of the following issues with your Artemis

  • device stop functioning during use and you cannot turn it back on or
  • if it is turning off when it is shaken or
  • there is a sudden drop in the battery level indicator e.g. from 100% to 20%, 

please contact our Support and we will investigate the issue you have with your Artemis and replace the battery if needed. 


Our battery manufacturer has taken corrective actions to improve the battery characteristics. New improved batteries are moved into Artemis production and service. Any Artemis device currently in retailers stock are being replaced with new ones.
